Keller Logistics/Keller Trucking in Defiance Ohio

We are looking for a Diesel Mechanic to join our team! You will be responsible for repairing various vehicles and transmission systems.


Preventative maintenance and light repairs of tractors, trailers and cars
Drive in company pick-up truck around yard for visual inspection of vehicles and trailers
Use computer program to build work orders and check for pending work; also clock in and out of work orders
Document service notes in computer if anything unusual is discovered during job
Perform stick reading of bulk fuel underground, email report to office (1x/day)
Use diagnostic tools to test vehicle components
Perform quality inspections prior to returning the vehicle to the customer


Previous experience as a mechanic
Knowledge of shop equipment
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Deadline and detail-oriented
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Work Environment: Heated shop, no air conditioning so exposure to extreme temperatures in warmer months. Occasional exposure to all weather conditions, gravel and paved lots. Exposure to dust, grease, vibration, moving parts and other vehicles.
Physical Demand Requirement of Job: Medium - Heavy
Shift/Breaks: 10-hr shifts, 7:00am-5:00pm and 4:00pm-2:00am; 1 hour lunch and 1 15-min break per shift.
