Toledo Molding & Die currently has opening for production operators at its Bowling Green plant. These are full-time positions with benefits and opportunities for advancement. No previous experience is necessary. The starting rate of pay if $13.55 per hour, and we have openings on all shifts.

If you have students who are at least 18 years of age that are looking for a job after graduation, we would love to talk with them about the opportunities we offer. Tronair – Welder

Position Summary: This position is responsible to lay out, fit, and weld fabricated, cast, and forged components to assemble structural forms such as machinery frames, tanks, pressure vessels, and aircraft ground support equipment by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Select equipment and plan layout, assembly, and welding.
• Lay out, position, align, and fit components together.
• Bolt, clamp, and tack-weld parts to secure in position for welding.
• Set up equipment and welds part, using arc, gas-shielded arc, submerged arc, or gas welding equipment.
• Assemble parts by bolting and riveting.
• Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts.

Education and/or Experience: HS Diploma or equivalent required

• Successfully pass the Company’s hands-on weld test.
• Must be able to read and interpret documents such as blue prints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Use torpedo level, combination square, hammer, allen wrench and adjustable wrench and certify on steel and aluminum with the Mig welding process in the 3G position vertical up and on steel in the vertical down 3G position.
• Meet Company’s expectations for Welder efficiency and quality standards
• Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and/or decimals.
• Must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Must be able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Must be able to use Internet software and Manufacturing software.

Minimum Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand up to 10 hours per day (sometimes longer) for extended periods of time, 5 – 6 days/week
• Ability to lay on back for extended periods of time while welding
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb. unassisted, and sometimes greater with assistance
• Ability to weld with arms extended for an extended period of time.
• Ability to bend and stoop frequently
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Ability to follow all safety requirements.
• Ability to work in hot environment with protective gear.
• Ability to work in small areas in order to perform the work.
• Ability to climb step ladders, work platforms frequently.

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
