Position: Multifunctional Driver Location: Hatchery Reports To: Fleet Maintenance Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Revised: July, 2016


Objective/Summary of Position: Deliver correct poults to all farms in the proper amounts; pick up eggs by schedule; load hogs according to schedule; fill in where needed at the shop &/or other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Class A CDL required; 2 years over the road experience; maintain a clean driving record.

Major Responsibilities/Essential Functions of Job: 1. Deliver all poults/eggs/hogs as scheduled 2. Observe company Animal Care & Animal Handling guidelines 3. Obey all State and Federal laws 4. Keep truck clean; wash and disinfect as required 5. Keep maintenance reports and daily mileage records 6. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections 7. Report any maintenance/repair needs immediately 8. Help in other areas as needed 9. Team Member Participation 10. Maintain safe work habits & a positive safety attitude 11. Demonstrate quality workmanship in all functions 12. Perform work as apparent or assigned 13. Maintain a cooperative attitude with all 14. Maintain a good attendance record & report to work on time 15. Maintain an active and interested performance level

JOB DESCRIPTION

Position: Fleet Maintenance Technician Location: Hatchery Reports To: Fleet Maintenance Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Revised: July, 2016

Objective/Summary of Position: Keep all machinery, trucks, and equipment in proper working condition.

Qualifications: Basic understanding of diesel and automotive equipment and engines. Able to diagnose 12 and 24 volt electric systems, understanding of cutting and welding equipment and the skill to perform such tasks. Solid understanding of hydraulics is also key.

Skills Required: Ability to work on and operate Ag equipment. Must have or be able to obtain a valid Class A CDL.

Major Responsibilities/Essential Functions of Job:
1. Work with manager to set repair priorities and follow through to see that repairs are completed timely.

2. Keep vehicles serviced and records up to date.

3. Maintain a positive attitude toward manager, peers, customers, and the company.

4. Fill out required paperwork neatly and completely.

5. Keep work area clean and organized.

6. Maintain an active interest in performance level.

7. Maintain a good attendance record and report to work on time.

8. Perform related work as apparent or assigned.

9. Develop and monitor an atmosphere where safety is always in everyone’s mind.

10. React to any and all unsafe acts or conditions with particular attention to safe driving practices, pre-trip inspections, and the overall safety of the vehicles/equipment.

11. Follow preventative maintenance programs as set by the company in the operation and use of all equipment.

12. Follow all policies with regard to company manuals.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Position: Sow Farm Maintenance Technician Location: Hatchery Revised: 8/31/16 FLSA Status: Non-Exempt


Reports To: Farm Manager and Sow Division Manager

Objective/Summary of Position: The primary goal of this position is to perform daily general maintenance and repair projects at sow farms.

Qualifications: A successful candidate for this position will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in maintenance and facilities management. Must be self-directed and able to work on projects independently. Must be detail-oriented, able to accomplish tasks through the cooperation of other people and be experienced in some type of maintenance.

Skills Required: Basic knowledge of general maintenance practices (welding, electrical, carpentry, plumbing, etc.). The ability to work effectively with a variety of personalities in a live animal setting. This person must be a team player and able to assist in other areas of the farm as needed. Must have strong cleanliness habits at all times and maintain a valid driver’s license and insurability.

Major Responsibilities/Essential Functions of Job:

1. Perform highly diversified duties for installation and maintenance of production and facility equipment and machines. 2. Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities. 3. Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. 4. Communicate as needed with contractors/vendors to coordinate needed materials and supplies. 5. Perform general troubleshooting, diagnosis, replace or repair parts, and testing. 6. Use a variety of hand and power tools. 7. Monitoring and maintaining appropriate ventilation systems. 8. Perform all maintenance tasks related to heating, ventilation, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, welding and other miscellaneous duties as assigned. 9. Regular and routine communication with farm manager and division manager. 10. Dependability in attendance is essential to this position. 11. Jobs must be completed in a timely manner. 12. Follow all bio-security measures according to Cooper Farms Biosecurity policies. 13. Follow all safety rules and practices and encourage coworkers to do the same. 14. Other duties as may be assigned to fulfill responsibilities of this position. 15. Attend scheduled meetings and trainings as deemed necessary by the company.
